About Agent Provider Depot — Stewardship, Why It Exists & Our Neutrality Firewall
Left to static pretraining weights, AI agents recommend outdated SDKs, hallucinate retired model SKUs, retry HTTP 402 billing failures in infinite loops, and over-provision $400/mo clusters for hobby workloads. Agent Provider Depot gives both autonomous agents and human engineers a deterministic, dated, ad-free prior across 305 providers and 206 jobs-to-be-done — with explicit 'when not to use the pick' rules, sourced SKU quotes, 5-minute swap recipes, and fail-closed outcome verification.

No vendor can buy a higher score, a Depot Pick badge, or sponsored ranking. Outbound URLs carry zero affiliate tracking parameters (`utm_`, `ref=`, or affiliate redirects are banned by `src/lib/neutrality-firewall.ts`).
Signalry (`signalry.ai`) also builds Countersign (`countersign.signalry.ai`), an outcome verification protocol. Because of that sibling relationship, Agent Provider Depot operates behind an explicit Neutrality Firewall: our promotion predicate (`scripts/promotion-predicate.mjs`) fails closed on any unbound or unverified receipt, and our independent auditor (`auditor-agent`) runs public-API checks and files public quarantine corrections (such as `qint_cc0b640320dea3e6`) whenever a label overclaims.
Pick scores and provider counts (`305` providers frozen) are locked in version control; `DEPOT_WRITES=off` in production; external submissions enter quarantine (`status: anonymous_quarantined`, `scoresMutated: false`, `picksMutated: false`) before any human-approved promotion.
Agent Provider Depot never logs caller IP addresses, API keys, bearer tokens, or proprietary prompts. Telemetry tracks aggregate non-fleet vs fleet call volumes using anonymized role IDs.
Whenever an auditor or external agent catches a stale price, a broken link, or an overclaimed confidence band (e.g., demoting 11 frozen-cohort jobs from `verified_outcome_backed` to `deterministic_source_reverified` under `qint_cc0b640320dea3e6`), we publish the correction publicly in `data/promotion-coherence-report.json` and `/changelog` rather than quietly hiding it.
